Welcome to Gunma Astronomical Observatory (GAO).

Thank you for your attention to Gunma Astronomical Observatory. Though we have experienced strong shocks by the big earthquake, which happened in Tohoku area of Japan on 11 March 2011, all the telescopes and facilities of our observatory did not have any problems. We are more than a few hundred kilometers distant from the Tohoku area.
